Once that is set up, every time you turn on the camera the utility kind of connects automatically, and you can download all photos and movies to the folder of your choice. When the connection has been established, the images stored in the camera will be displayed in Camera Connect as shown in the example image below. Save images from the camera to the smartphone. The menu for that on the 6D is pretty much self explanatory. And nurn frm t ur bk nln r b trng t n ur mutr, u hv nvnnt nwr wth canon 6d wifi manual. Select Images on camera from the Camera Connect main window on the smartphone. Īlso, would be great if every Remote DSLR APP stated whether is used "USB or WiFi or IR or BT" in the title, I connected via wifi to my computer through a router using WAP2 AES.

It has built-in Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth and GPS, enabling not only wireless shooting and image transfer, but also geotagging and network connectivity. Ipad 2 is unusable with focus at f1.2, the live view shows pixels even if the res of the iPad 2 is 1024x768. My conclution is the WiFi feed is real low res.

Shoot, I even wrote one myself a long time ago.īoth "qDslrDashboard" and "DLSR Controller" are not free. The EOS 6D Mark II camera is equipped with numerous wireless capabilities for any number of shooting and sharing setups. Today I tried some more with ipad 2, ipad mini 2 and iphone 4s with Canon Connect app. Seems simple enough to do, they have it in their Windows EOS Utility app.

I do wish that Canon will some day update their apps to support interval shooting. It also claims to connect to wifi enabled cameras, but I noticed that the latest release was in 2014, so not sure how it works with newer cameras. There is another app called Dslr Controller, but I have never used it. So, depending on which camera you have, it may or may not work for you. Recently I bought a Canon EOS M3, which has WIFI support (although I think it's a bit crippled), and qDslrDashboard does not work with it in either form, neither directly through wifi nor the "pass through" server connected to the usb port.
CANON 6D WIFI APP DOWNLOAD PORTABLE
Since I didn't have a wifi enabled camera at the time, I used something called ddserver (DslrDashboardServer) which is a reprogrammed portable wifi hotspot that connects to the camera via usb and acts as a wifi "passthrough". You can also browse images on the cameras memory. As you view live images from the camera in EOS Remote, you can remotely set the focus, adjust shooting values, and release the shutter. There is one I have used in the past called qDslrDashboard that says it can connect to a WIFI enabled Canon and Nikon camera directly. EOS Remote is a free application for convenient remote shooting, image browsing, and other operations on Canon EOS digital cameras with Wi-Fi functionality.
