admx revision? I would like to create an exact copy of the old GPO since I need to "Redirect data to local profile" for the users applying the new GPO in order to transfer their KFMs to C: and after that apply OneDrive GPOs, in other words it must transfer back "My documents" to "My documents" and not "Documents" which is newly created and empty.Īs it is now it works perfectly to migrate Desktop and Pictures but it transfers the empty "Document" folder and not the "My Documents" folder where the real user data is stored. Has this anything to do with that the old GPO was created during 2018 and maybe used older. So what happens is that the user that receives the new GPO and denies the old one now have "My documents" (where all their document files are, created from the old GPO, that is obviously not synced anymore) and a newly created empty "Document" folder which is now synced to the file share.
#MAP MY DOCUMENTS TO ONEDRIVE FOR BUSINESS WINDOWS#
Additionally, the OneDrive for Business sync app isn’t supported for client sessions that are hosted on Windows 2008 Terminal Services or Windows 2012 Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
The new GPO creates a folder named "Documents" and the old GPO create "My Documents". The OneDrive for Business sync app isn’t supported in any configuration that doesn’t let the user account write to the OneDrive for Business application directories. Some users will work exclusively in OneDrive others may use OneDrive to access work files from offsite or share files with others. Dont be surprised if this stops working someday - clearly the writing is on the wall that drive letter mapping is going away. Hi! I'm in the process of doing KFM to OneDrive for business, I've set it up and it works, however I have one issue, I create a new Folder Redirect GPO that duplicates the old Folder Redirect GPO. Our URL doesnt have the CID: Try this: OneDriveMapper automatically map your OneDrive for Business upon login, from the PowerShell Gallery.
